A Love fund has been set up for 3 month old Brooklyn Enos, the daughter of Matt and Rachel Enos. Matt is a graduate of the Adrian Class of ’92 . Matt, wife Rachel, and children reside in Greenwood.

Matt is the son of Tim and Debby Enos and  Drenda Enos of Butler . Rachel is the daughter of Cyndi and Paul Williams of Sedalia.

They all share the common ground of their love for 3 month old Brooklynn, born with SMA the name for a less common motor neuron disease known as Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a genetic disease affecting the part of the nervous system that controls voluntary muscle movement. Baby Brooklyn lost her ability to swallow on December 7th and was put on a feeding tube.

Brooklyn has been a patient at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City , just this month  SMA specialists in St. Louis accepted Brooklynn for experimental treatments. Brooklyn has experienced her first treatment, with the second treatment scheduled on January 10th. Brooklynn will need treatments every two months for the rest of her life.

With this being said, we invite you to follow Baby Brooklyn’s condition on facebook, Search for
