Wind advisory today, then colder for the weekend

161117_921_161116Wednesday was probably the best day of the week.  Temperatures from around the state ranged from the state low of 34-degrees in St. Joseph to an afternoon high of 82-degrees down in Joplin.

Temperatures in Butler ranged from 43-degrees overnight to a daytime high of 77-degrees.

161117_921_daycastToday its hold onto you hat day around west central Missouri.  Southerly winds will be from 25 to 35 m.p.h. some gusts of 40 m.p.h. will be possible.  These increased winds are ahead of a cold front that will move though overnight into the morning hours on Friday.

161117_921_wind-advisoryThe cold front will bring us a slight chance for showers, but that chance is slim.  Looking at a 20-percent chance of rain around the region.

We’ll be wishing for todays afternoon highs tomorrow and into the weekend as the high temperatures on Friday will be early, and won’t make it out of the mid-50s.

Overnight lows will be down into the 50s tonight, but into the lower 30s and upper 20s over the weekend.

Friday night – Mostly clear and cold. Temperatures fall into the lower 30s.

Saturday – Partly cloudy, not as windy. Highs in the upper 40s.
