The date is set for the 11th Annual Log Cabin Festival. The event will be held in Harrisonville on October 2nd and 3rd.
Vendors may start registering for booth rental space or a Business Expo booth.
Hours will be Friday October 2nd from 5 pm until 8 pm and Saturday from 9 am until 8 pm.
Other activities will be a Carnival, Food Vendors, Art and Craft Vendors. Children’s Activities, Petting Zoo and Farmer’s Market.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
