Attention cat lovers! The Cat Project presents the 1st Annual Catapolooza fundraising event, Saturday, June 12th, 11-6pm, at 604 South Mechanic, Butler. Enjoy food, fun, and shop for a good cause. Proceeds go to help establish a non-profit trap, neuter, return, low-cost program for stray and feral cats in the Butler area. Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
