Master Gardener Training Courses in El Dorado Springs

Upcoming Master Gardener Training that will be held in El Dorado Springs at Cedar County Library on Tuesday evenings starting at 6 p. m. beginning on March 6th and lasting till May 8th.  This is a horticulture education course and the 10 sessions on Tuesday evenings will consist of

·        Woody Ornamentals & Trees

·        Irrigation, Hobby Greenhouses & Tool Care

·        Plant Growth & Development

·        Plant Diseases

·        Soils & Composting

·        Entomology

·        Vegetable Gardening

·        Flower Gardening

·        Growing Fruit Crops

·        Turfgrass

The course will be taught by MU Extension Agronomy and Horticulture Specialists that have expertise in these areas along with the woody ornamental and trees class being taught by a Missouri Department Conservation Community Forester. The cost of the class is $150 per person or $250 per couple who are sharing materials.  Registration along with the fee needs be paid by February 27th in order to attend the class.  The fee covers all the materials for the class.

Adrian: Business Expo Business Booths Space Now for Rent

The Adrian Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Business Expo on March 3rd from 9 am to 2 pm at the Adrian Optimist Building.

Businesses can sign-up for a booth by stopping by Byrd’s Pecans – located on Main Street in Adrian – to reserve their spot.

The fee to reserve a spot for Adrian Chamber of Commerce members is $55 with electricity and $45 with no electricity.

If you are not a member of the Adrian Chamber of Commerce the fee to reserve a spot during the Business Expo is $70 with electricity and $60 with no electricity.

Space is limited, so businesses need to reserve their spot as soon as possible

Butler Elementary Candy Grams for Sale Deadline February 7th 2018

The Butler Elementary PTSO will be selling Valentine’s  Day Candy Grams as a fundraiser for the organization.

Candy Grams will be full- size candy bars, instead of suckers. Candy Grams will be delivered on February 14th to students and the staff at the Butler Elementary School only.

The deadline to place your order is Wednesday, February 7th and no late orders will be taken.
