VENDORS WANTED FOR ADRIAN FALL FESTIVAL

The Adrian Chamber of Commerce has decided to go ahead with the annual Adrian fall festival that will be held Saturday October 17th from 9am to 1pm on Main Street in Adrian east of the railroad tracks.

The Adrian Fall Festival is looking for vendors and they can sign up at Byrd’s Pecan Delights in Adrian  or at the Wine Journal in Adrian.  

They will also be having a car show with small entry fee and then 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners.

COVID-19 Testing for Patients with Symptoms or had Positive Exposure by Appointment Only in Ambulance Bay at BCMH

BCMH now offers drive-through COVID-19 testing for patients of its’ Family Care Clinics in the hospital Ambulance Bay, Monday through Friday. TESTING IS NOT FREE. Patients are required to schedule an appointment through the Family Care Clinics. 

Hospital leadership added this COVID-19 testing location to offer patients greater privacy during testing, as well as a protected location for patients and staff during inclement weather.

  • COVID-19 testing performed in the Ambulance Bay is by appointment only through Family Care Clinics by calling 660-200-3627.
  • Patients will be screened on the phone to determine if they qualify for COVID-19 testing.
  • To qualify for COVID-19 testing, patients must be either be experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms or have had a positive exposure.
  • Appointments for testing each day are limited.
  • Car-side testing will continue to be offered at each Family Care Clinic in Adrian, Butler and Rich Hill, by appointment only.
  • Scheduling staff will help patients with the appropriate or available location for COVID-19 testing.
  • Testing is not free. Patient/Insurance will be responsible for payment for testing.

Bates County Memorial Employee Reunion

A reunion is planned for anyone that has ever been employed at Bates County Memorial Hospital… from Candy Stripers to CEO’s.

It’s all for fun and reminiscing of the, “ Good Ole Days” at Bates County Memorial Hospital. Past and present employees are encouraged to bring pictures and memorabilia to share with the group.

The Bates County Memorial Hospital employee reunion will meet at the Flaming Lantern Restaurant, in the meeting room on Tuesday, October 6th  at 11:00 am.

This is a yearly event, held in October. The Dinner will be served from the Flaming Lantern Menu and everyone will go “ Dutch”.

Butler: Huckster’s Day Pre-Register Events

The annual Huckster’s Day event is set for October 3rd on the Butler Square. The event is hosted by the Butler Chamber of Commerce. There are 3 events on the agenda that will need prep time . 1st , craft booths and vendors need to notify the chamber for booth space in advance . 2nd, Those participating in the chili cook off will not be charged an entry fee.. prizes will be awarded in three categories. 3rd, the cinnamon roll contest has no cash  entry fee, 13 rolls will be baked, with one for taste testing and the other dozen will be sold as the entry fee cost. There will be  a baby contest and a talent contest during Huckster’s day and those entering these events  will need to register at the Butler Chamber booth on the square.
