NRMC Diagnostic Imaging Named for Dr. Ted Moore

Dr. Candice Moore recently pledged $25,000 in order to name the diagnostic imaging waiting area at Nevada Regional Medical Center (NRMC).  The pledge came in response to the NRMC Foundation’s announcement of several areas available for naming within the healthcare system. Dr. Candice Moore wished to name the diagnostic imaging area in honor of her husband, Dr. Ted Moore, retired NRMC radiologist of 35 years.

“Ted helped build the radiology program from nothing,” says Dr. Candice Moore. “I felt like this needed to happen to recognize his hard work and accomplishments.”

At the time Dr. Ted Moore began interpreting diagnostic imaging for NRMC in 1977, then known as Nevada City Hospital, he says he couldn’t even imagine Nevada ever needing a CT scanner. Today, the department houses not only a 64-slice CT scanner, but many other state-of-the-art imaging machines such as 3D digital mammography and MRI.

Funds raised through naming opportunities are designated for the NRMC Endowment Fund. For more information about naming opportunities at NRMC, contact the Foundation office at (417) 448-3801.
