UPDATE: The subject has been located and is in custody.

The Bates County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to be on the lookout for a white man possibly early 40’s, on foot, wearing shorts, last seen near Butler Carquest. Subject has made threats to law enforcement. If you see this individual, contact the Bates County Sheriff’s Office at 660-679-3232.

The Sheriffs Office received information of a threat toward law enforcement at the Sheriff’s Office. The threat was specific that the person was going to shoot law enforcement in an ambush as they exited the office. Please stay clear from the area. Until further notice the Sheriffs office and the administrative building will be closed. More details later.

92.1 Broadcasts ” Live” from the 91st Archie Invitational Tournament

The 91st Archie Invitation Tournament will hit the courts of the Archie Dome on Monday night, January 25th. The games will alternate between the Gymnasium and the Dome, so more games can be played nightly. You must have an admission ticket to enter the game. Each school will distribute tickets. Those that can’t attend the game in person are invited to hear all the action live from the studios of 92.1. Game times and dates are to be announced. Job Opening at Henry County Health Department

The Henry County Health Center (HCHC) has an immediate full time opening for a detailed-orientated Bookkeeper. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred or previous accounting experience is required. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office is required. Duties include payroll, contract invoicing, bank reconciliation, board financial reports, etc. Must be reliable, have good interpersonal skills, and follow the Five Standards of Conduct for the Health Center. Pay range is between $17.25 – $20.00 per hour, based on education and experience. The Health Center is open Monday thru Friday 8-4:30pm. Henry County Health Center is an EEOC.
