Adrian Optimists Cancel Bingo for 2 Weeks

The Adrian Optimist club has voted to take a two week pause in bingo operations in light of coronavirus cases in the county.  We will reassess the conditions before September 13th.

Injury Accident in Lowry City

Missouri Highway Patrol responded to two vehicle accident on Thursday, August 26th at approximately 12:45am.  The accident occurred on Missouri 13 in Lowry City, Missouri.

A 2004 Toyota Highlander, driven by 24-year-old Jessica Young of Appleton City, was traveling Northbound in the Southbound lanes and sideswiped a 2014 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by Herman Mansaw, 60 of Kansas City, Missouri. 

Jessica Young sustained serious injuries and was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas.

The 2004 Toyota Highlander was total and towed from the scene by Bray’s Wrecker of Osceola. 

The 2014 Freightliner has extensive damage and was towed by Mike’s Towing of Collins Missouri.

Harrisonville High School Homecoming

Harrisonville High School will celebrate Homecoming on Friday, September 10th.  Homecoming Parade will begin at 1:30pm at the Harrisonville City Park, travel west on Ash Street, South on Independence to the Harrisonville Square. Then East on Pearl Street and then back to the Harrisonville Park headed north on Bradley.

If you would like to be the Harrisonville High School Homecoming Parade, you need to register online through the Harrisonville School website www.harrisonvilleschools.org.  Deadline to register for Parade is Friday, September 3rd.

Butler Music in Harrisonville will have a Musician’s Swap Meet on Saturday, September 18th for 9am to 6pm. 

Seller may set up for free and admission to this swap meet is free. Live Entertainment all day including bands, solo artists and even a jam session.

Come buy, sell, or trade Guitars, amps, Speakers, Cords, Picks, Pedals, Banjos, Ukuleles, Harmonica, band instruments and much more.

Butler Music will have a Big Sale inside the store all day along with product demos for Fender factory reps. 

All music gear and related items welcome, even broken instruments, clothing, records, poster, knickknacks.

Buyer will be on hand for all instrument free appraisal of your gear.
