The City of Butler invites the public to attend the October 21st Town Hall Meeting at the Happy Hill Church of God in Butler. Meeting time 6:00 pm. Issues on the table for discussion will be:

The American Rescue Plan Act and funds received.

Butler Airport projects and

The City of Butler water rates

Rich Hill: Lords Acre Dinner

The Rich Hill United Methodist Church will be serving its annual Lord’s Acre Dinner, Monday, October 25, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the church (221 E. Park Ave) for carry-out only.

A free-will offering will be taken for a traditional turkey dinner including turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and dessert.

Call the church by 4:30 for delivery (homebound, Rich Hill) at 417-395-4100. Carry-out will be available east of the church on 3rd Street, no need to call ahead.

Butler: 5K Walk for Kane’s Family Team

Join the Kane’s Family Team on October 17th at 3:00 pm at the Butler High School Track for a 5k Walk for the “Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation”.

Be sure and wear your Kane Strong t-shirts. Tropical Sno of Butler will be at the track and 20% of their gross sales that day will be donated to the foundation.

Cash donations will be accepted and appreciated. Help Kane’s Team find a cure for Diabetes.  Contact Stacy Fields for more information 660-227-9914.

OATS Transit Available in Our Area

OATS Transit is open for regular transportation service, however face masks are required on the bus due to COVID-19. OATS Transit follows Federal Transit Administration requirements, which means face masks must be worn on public transit through January 18, 2022.

OATS Transit is available to the rural general public of any age, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. We also contract with a number of agencies to serve their clients. 

Please note: OATS Transit offices will be closed and regular routes will not be running on November 25 and 26, 2021 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
