Bates County deputies were called to the scene of a shooting inside the City of Rich Hill on Thursday, November 25th.
Additional staff have been called in to assist to include Detectives and all Command Staff. This appears to be a targeted incident.
One person received a gunshot wound and has been airlifted to a trauma hospital. Two white male subjects entered the home and an altercation ensured. One produced a gun and shot the homeowner.
The Bates County Sheriff’s Office does not believe this to be a random act and does not feel there is any substantial danger to the community.
Bates County Sheriff Deputies are looking for information on two white male subjects. The shooter was wearing a blue hoodie. No other descriptions has been given at this time.
