Bates County Cattlemen Cook-Out May 14th

It’s Beef Appreciation month and the Bates County Cattlemen are having a free-will donation cookout on Saturday, May 14th in the Family Center parking lot in Butler starting at 10:30 am. Hamburger, chips, and a drink will all be available for a free-will donation. Money raised will be put back in the community. City of Archie Testing Sirens Tuesday

The City of Archie will be testing the tornado sirens on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 1:00PM.  Please share with your neighbors who may not have access to this website or the City’s facebook page. 

Crash in Henry County Leaves Adrian Man with Serious Injuries

Missouri Highway Patrol responded to a two-car accident on Saturday, May 7th at Highway 18 and NW 401 Road at approximately 1:30pm in Henry County.

The accident occurred when a 2009 Chevrolet Impala headed eastbound, driven by Paul Matthes 67 of Clinton, entered into the path of a 2009 Harley Davidson headed westbound, driven by Jeremy Cassaday 45 of Adrian.

Mr. Cassaday sustained serious injuries and was transported to University Health in Kansas City by Life flight.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Golden Valley EMS and Clinton Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Gary’s Tow.

Juveniles involved in Accident in Bates County

Missouri Highway Patrol responded to a one-car accident at approximately 6:30pm on Friday, May 6th at NW County Road 2001 South of NW County Road 1502 in Bates County.

The accident occurred when a 2006 Dodge Ran driven by a 16-year-old Male juvenile traveled off the east side of the roadway and struck a ditch.

Two 15-year-old Male juveniles were injured one sustained serious injury and one moderate injury, both juveniles were transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital.

The Ram was towed from the scene by Douty’s Tow.
