Bates County Relay for Life: New time, New date, New Location.

There are changes underway for the 2022 Annual Relay for Life. The date and location have changed for this year.

The Bates County Relay for Life will be held at the Adrian Optimist Building in Adrian on Saturday, July 30th. The Theme for 2022 is: “ Funding a Cure for Cancer through Artistic Expression”.

The Relay committee is looking for Teams and Entertainment and of course donations for the annual silent auction.

That’s Bates County Relay for Life, July 30th at the Adrian Optimist Building from 5:00 pm until 9 pm.

Bates County Memorial Employee of the Month

Dot Henry, LPN, Named BCMH June Employee of the Month

Bates County Memorial Hospital recognizes Dot Henry, LPN, on being selected as the June Employee of the Month. Dot has worked for Family Care Clinics since 2017 as the Triage Nurse for James Miller, DO, Glenn Gardner, PA and Megan Reno, PA.

She also takes hospice and nursing home calls, and she works closely with all providers in the BCMH system. On an average day, Dot takes 80-100 calls, and covers for other triage nurses when needed.

Her coworkers say she is patient and knowledgeable with incredible critical thinking skills, and her reliability and work ethic help clinics run smoothly. Dot’s focus is always the patient’s care, and patients trust her. She is an outstanding employee at BCMH and is deserving of this recognition.

DAV Meeting


  The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter #67 Service Officer will be at the Bates County Museum on Elks Drive Butler, Missouri Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM t0 4:00 PM to assist veterans in applying for their benefits. If you have any questions call Darrel Rogers at 816-738-4536.


 The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter #67 Butler, Missouri invites all Disabled Veterans to attend the monthly meeting.
  The DAV chapter meets the third Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the Bates County Museum on Elks Drive.     

  The next regular meeting is June 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM.

Rich Hill: Joe Nichols in Concert

Rich Hill announces the Country Music Artist to hit the stage during the 4th of July celebrations. They are proud to announce that the 2022 Entertainer is JOE NICHOLS!!

He will perform on stage for a  FREE Concert on July 2, 2022 at 8pm in Rich Hill’s West Park (Park Place).

Joe has been a mainstay in country music for over two decades with six #1 singles, 10 Top 10 hits, such as “Gimmie That Girl”, “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off”, and “Yeah”.
