Butler Aquatic Center Dog Days of Summer

The Butler Aquatic Center is proud to announce the Dog Days of Summer, Sunday, August 14th, from 12 to 2 pm. 

There is a $1 entry fee and a limit of 2 dogs per paid patron.  All dogs must be on a leash.  Patrons are asked to use good judgment with their dogs and not bring dogs that may be aggressive towards other dogs or humans.  Your dog’s vaccinations must be up to date and each dog must wear identification and rabies tags.  Owners need to make sure and clean up after their dogs.  Bags will be provided.

Mayor Jim Henry will be there cooking hotdogs and other concessions will be available.

Fatality Crash takes the Lives of Three Teens

A fatality crash in Cedar County took the lives of three teenagers on Thursday, August 4th.  The Missouri Highway Patrol responded to a one-car accident 3 miles East of Jerico Springs on Highway B at approximately 4:30pm.

The accident occurred when a 2006 Toyota Scion topped a hill became airborne then traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. Three teens were ejected from the vehicle and lost our lives at the scene.

The driver Clay W. Palmer, 19 of Cleveland Missouri, along with passengers Ryan A. Chick, 18 of Cabool Missouri and Logan W. Meerkatz, 18 of Cleveland Missouri were all pronounced at the scene by the Cedar County Coroner.

Bradley K. Kidwell, 18 of Cabool Missouri received serious injuries and was flown to Cox South Hospital in Springfield Missouri

Taylor Q. Ranney, 18 of Mountain Grove Missouri received moderate injuries and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield Missouri.

The Toyota was towed from the scene by Mikes Wrecker of Stockton Missouri.
