Santa is Coming to Rich Hill

Santa is coming to Rich Hill on Friday, December 9th at Caboose Park just West of the railroad tracks right off of Walnut Street.  Each child will receive a goodie bag from Santa.  You can pay to have your child’s picture taken with Santa or you can take them yourselves. 

Bring the kids to see Santa on December 9th at 6 pm Caboose Park in Rich Hill.

Senior Citizens need to register for Thanksgiving Meal to be delivered.

Judge Highley and the Carpenters Cup of  Butler will prepare a Thanksgiving meal that will be served at the Butler Senior Citizen building on Mill Street in Butler. The Thanksgiving meal menu will be turkey, dressing, your choice of mashed potatoes and gravy or sweet potatoes, your choice of seasoned green beans or corn, cranberry sauce, hot roll with butter, and to finish off the meal, your choice of apple or pumpkin pie with whipped cream topping.

A complete list of food needed for this endeavor may be found on the Carpenter’s Cup Facebook page or the KMAM KMOE Facebook page. The donation of any of these items may be dropped off at the Carpenters Cup in Butler. Of course, any money donations can be dropped off either with Judge Julie Highley or at the Carpenters Cup.

City of Rich Hill Accepting Bids for Mowing

The City of Rich Hill, Missouri, is seeking bids for mowing and weed eating all City properties to include trash pickup prior to mowing, removal of fallen limbs and minor tree trimming. This would be for a period of one year from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023.

Properties included:

1. City Hall, 120 N. 7th Street

2. Caboose Park and adjacent railroad properties

3. Prospect Park (Square Park) including median between the 2 sections of the park

4. Water Tower

5. Park Place (Circle Park)

6. Triangle next to Circle Park

7. American Legion Park (ballfields)

8. 701 E Chestnut (vacant lot)

9. 1401 E Maple (vacant lot)

10. Greenlawn Cemetery

11. Water Plant, 6211 SW CR 2007

12. Wastewater Plant, 599 N. 5th Street

13. South Lift Station, 1200 block of east Spruce Street

14. North Lift Station, N. 14th Street

15. MoDOT Building, 8178 N. 14th Street

Proposals should be submitted marked “Mowing” with the name of the bidder.

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities in the bid process, to award any bid or portion of a bid which is deemed to be the most advantageous to the City, and to make any investigations as are deemed necessary to determine the ability of a bidder to provide/perform the requested services. In addition, bidders shall not be permitted to use to their advantage any error or omission in the invitation for bid or related specifications.
