On August 24, 2023, at
approximately 12:30pm the Linn County Kansas Sheriff’s Office was notified that
a former student of Prairie View USD #362 made a threat toward the Prairie View
School District on social media. Law Enforcement responded to the threat;
Prairie View locked down per protocol and notified parents of the lockdown by
their notification system.
The subject who made the
threat was never on campus and was contained a short time later at their home
in Miami County. The lockdown was lifted.
The subject is currently
in custody.
