Today we will feature the Kansas City Zoo. The zoo is open year-round from 9:30 am to 4 pm on weekdays and 9:30 am to 5 pm on weekends. These summer hours are in effect March through October, and winter hours are 9:30 -4 daily November through February.
The Kansas City Zoo is closed only on
Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The
Prices for 2023 are $25.00 for adults ages 12 and above, Senior Citizens $22.00,
Children 3 to 11 $22.00, and Children under 2 are free.
Group
rates are available for parties of 20 plus.
Rides and transportation are available with handicapped access.
The
train $3.00 round trip, tram $2.00 one way, and Carousel $3.00 per ride and operates daily, weather permitting. African Sky Safari open daily, weather
permitting, is $7.00 round trip. Gold wristbands are also available for $9.00
that provides unlimited rides on train, tram, and carousel.
The Kansas City historic Swope Park Zoo is located
at 6800 Zoo Drive in Kansas City Missouri.
It is located just off I-435 and US 71 Highway.

can purchase discount tickets for the Kansas City Zoo at FM92 studios located
at 800 East Nursery in Butler or by calling 660-679-4191. Ticket also available on the Zoo website,
tickets purchased online are “timed” tickets and need a reservation.
