Just after 5:00 p.m. on February 20, 2024 Henry County Central Communications received a 911 call from of mother stating that her two-year daughter was found unresponsive in a body of water on the family property located in the 900 block of NE 600 road.
The mother gave the child CPR until
first responders from Windsor Fire Department arrived on scene. First
responders were able to re-establish a pulse and shallow breathing.
The child was transported to Golden
Valley Hospital by ambulance and then transferred by air ambulance to
Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, the
child is listed in critical condition.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is
investigating the incident.
