Today in our Local News we feature the Kansas City Zoo. The
Zoo is open year-round from 9:30 am
until 5 pm on weekdays and 9:30 am until
5 pm weekends. These summer hours are in effect Memorial Week-end to Labor Day
week-end.
The Kansas City Zoo is only closed on Thanksgiving,
Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.
Admission prices in 2024 are $25.00 for 12 and above. Children ages 3-11 enter the Zoo for $22.00
Children e and under are admitted free of charge. Senior Citizens ages 55 and
older are admitted for $22.00.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.kansascityzoo.org or from the FM-92
Studios in Butler. All tickets purchased from the Bargain Buy Show Ticket Box
are ½ price at the gate price.
The Kansas City Zoo has access to Strollers, Wagons, and
Wheelchairs. There is access to Electric Convenience Vehicles that are for
rent on a first come first serve basis.
The train is priced at $3.00 and the use of the Zoo Tram is
$2.00 one-way trip per person. The
African Sky Safari and Carousel operate daily, weather permitting.
The Kansas City Historic Swope Park Zoo is located 6800 Zoo
Drive in Kansas City, Missouri . The Zoo is located just off I-435 and I-49
