Scam Alert. A gentleman from 1-800-918-1640 giving the name of Adam Weise is calling Butler residents, claiming to be with the Butler Sheriff’s Office.
The Scammer is telling our listener that he is a friend of a relative who has been involved in a wreck and is in the Bates County Jail County Jail.
He continued to provide information until our Butler Resident started asking questions the scammer couldn’t answer.
This is a scam, contact your parents and grandparents who might not have access to Facebook to warn them. Do not talk to them or send them money.
