What a day!
Today, the Linn County Sheriff Office (Jail) was selected by the National Institute for Jail Operations (United States) as the recipient of the Detention Facility of the year. This award was given by the national agency for innovation and excellence.
This is the largest award available for a jail operation in America. The award will be received by staff at the JAILCON24 Conference in French Lick, Indiana in October.

Because you have been selected as the recipient, you will receive the following:
- two full conference passes, FREE (a value of $850)
- ability to invite 2 friend or family members to attend the award ceremony in French Lick, IN on October 10th.
- a plaque with the facility’s name and recognition (received live at the conference)
This is a moment of pride in our Staff at the Linn County Sheriff’s Office that I quite frankly cannot process at the moment.
