On Tuesday, August 27, Bates County Deputies were notified of a pursuit that was initiated by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office that was entering Bates County. Deputies were able to intercept and join the pursuit on State Route AA.

Deputies were able to deploy stop sticks and hit one of the tires on the
fleeing vehicle. A short time later the vehicle crashed at the intersection of
County Road 5001 and the Bates/Cass county line.
The driver
of the vehicle was taken into custody without further incident and was
transported to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
