Early Morning Accident Involving A Bates County Deputy Vehicle

 A Bates County Sheriff's Deputy and K9 were involved in an early morning accident Monday, December 2nd at the intersection of Ft Scott and Delaware, Butler Mo. 

A female driver traveling south on Delaware failed to stop for oncoming traffic and struck the eastbound K9 Patrol Vehicle.  The Deputy was on his way to the Sheriff’s Office.  

Two occupants from the female’s vehicle were transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.   The deputy was taken to the hospital by another patrol car for minor injuries to his hand. 

The Deputy and K9, Griff, were checked out and are back in service.
