Revised Information: Personal Property Taxes

 A reminder for those of you who haven’t paid your Personal Property Taxes, the deadline is quickly approaching. There are a few reminders for those still needing to pay before the December 31st 2024 deadline.

The Collectors, Treasurers Office will be open Tuesday, December 31st.  There is a Personal Property Tax drop box for dropping those lost minute payments. The drop box is located outside the Bates County Administration building, on the east side.

For those mailing last-minute taxes, you need to remember that the post office postmark anything dropped into the outside mailbox after 2 pm with a January 1st 2025 date.

 If you are mailing your Bates County Personal Property Taxes, you will need to go inside the Post Office and make sure the Post Master adjusts the stamp to reflect the December 31st , postmark date.

Any mail from the outside mailbox at the Butler Post Office after 2 pm will have a postmark date of January 1st and will be considered late and will be subject to fines.
