Bates County Memorial Hospital Celebrates Retirement of Dr. Joseph Parelman
Bates
County Memorial Hospital (BCMH) extends its best wishes and heartfelt
congratulations to Dr. Joseph Parelman, who officially retired on January 20
after 35 years of providing exceptional ophthalmology services to the
community.
Since 1990,
Dr. Parelman has played a vital role in offering cataract and other eye
surgeries at BCMH, ensuring that local patients had access to high-quality care
close to home. His skill and dedication have made a lasting impact on the many
individuals he served throughout the years.
On his
final day with the hospital, a special lunch was organized in his honor by
Kristie McKee, RN, surgery department manager. BCMH’s CEO, Greg Weaver, also
stopped by to personally wish Dr. Parelman a fulfilling and well-deserved
retirement.
In
retirement, Dr. Parelman plans to spend more time in Colorado, where he enjoys
outdoor activities.
“Dr.
Parelman has been an integral part of our team and our community for over three
decades,” said Greg Weaver, CEO of Bates County Memorial Hospital. “We are
grateful for his commitment to patient care and for the positive impact he has
had on the lives of so many. We wish him all the best in his retirement and the
next chapter of his life.”
