On Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 2:37 p.m., Vernon County Dispatch received a call of a burglary in progress around the Schell City area. Later dispatch advised deputies that a neighbor had 3 subjects at gun point. Upon arrival Deputies found a gentleman holding 3 male subjects at gun point.
The 3 male subjects were taken into custody on a 24 hr investigative hold. Deputies found their vehicle sitting by the house with what appeared to be numerous items that had been taken from the house and sat beside the vehicle . All 3 subjects were transported to the Vernon County Jail where they are being held.
Charges are being sent over the Vernon County Prosecutor and are awaiting formal charges.
