On Friday, April 11, 2025, law enforcement officers from the Nevada Police Department, Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, and the El Dorado Springs Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in 2500 block of E. Johnson Drive as part of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and other controlled substances.
The subject
of the investigation, a Cedar County resident, had been under surveillance for
suspected drug trafficking activity. During the execution of the search
warrant, law enforcement located a significant quantity of methamphetamine,
multiple controlled substance pills, and a loaded handgun.
As a result
of the operation:
• Two
individuals were taken into custody on charges related to illegal possession of
firearms and trafficking of controlled substances.
• A third
individual was arrested on outstanding warrants issued by Cedar County.
This
coordinated effort between agencies underscores the commitment of local law
enforcement to combat drug-related crime and ensure the safety of our
