Wednesday, March 25th at 6:45 pm, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Henry County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route E, just north of NE CR 1281 in Henry County.
According to the MSHP, a 1999 Dodge Ram, driven by 17 year old Clayton L. Close of Windsor MO, breached a hill crest and struck a horse drawn, two seated, topped buggy driven by 36 yr. old Jay A. Wagner, also of Windsor MO, from the rear.
Wagner, along with 3 juvenile children ages 13, 9, and 8, all sustained serious injuries and were transported to hospitals in KC for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled.
