Free Application Assistance for the Marketplace is Available at BCMH

An additional 90-day enrollment period for health care coverage through healthcare.gov was announced on January 28, 2021 after President Biden signed an executive order directing Health and Human Services (HHS) to offer open enrollment through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) from February 15 to May 15.
The ACA offers no cost or low-cost health insurance to qualified applicants. The amount of premium tax credit members can qualify for is based on household size and annual income. Financial counselors at BCMH offer preliminary phone screenings and consultation appointments at no cost to those who wish to explore their options. A consultation also helps the applicant find the best plan based on their health needs, such as making sure needed prescriptions are covered in the plan.
