Adrian: Bates County Mizzou Club Picnic and Send Off

Bates County Mizzou Club held their annual event this evening July 25th at the Adrian Optimist Building. Butthead BBQ provided a brisket, smoked ham, baked beans, cheesy potatoes, cole slaw and roll was on the menu. Scholarships and an Award were handed out, raffle, silent and live auction were available to those who attended.

Guest Speaker Brittany Jones, Director of Football Operations

Brittany is one out of five women directors in the Big 5 Conference. She spoke about the things she does for the players, setting up meals, travel arrangements and so much more.

4 Scholarships were handed out.

  • Drake Stephens of Butler was given $1000 scholarship for each year of college, equalling a total value of $4000. Drake is the son of Brad and Cheryl Stephanie and is a 2019 graduate of Butler High School.
  • Emmalie VanGordon of Butler was given a $2000 scholarship. Emmalie is the daughter of John and Audrey VanGordon and Jason and Julie Lines and is a 2019 graduate of Butler High School.

2 Surprise Scholarships were also given out.

  • Payton Ritter of Adrian a Sophomore at Mizzour eceived a $500 scholarship for attending the picnic. Payton is the daughter of Steven and Lori Ritter and a 2018 graduate of Adrian High School.
  • Bella Oltremare as received a $500 scholarship for attending the picnic. Bella is the daughter of Mike and Tommie Oltremare and is a 2019 graduate of Butler High School.

The True Tiger Award was given to Bryan and Jennifer Milligan!!!
