Adrian Blackhawks Varsity Volleyball Team Emerges Champions at Holden Tournament

The Adrian Blackhawks Varsity Volleyball Team traveled to Holden on Saturday, August 26th to play in the Holden Tournament.  Even though they were facing much larger schools, the ladies of the Adrian Blackhawks Varsity Volleyball Team emerged victorious and brought home the championship!

In pool play (during the tournament) Adrian swept Skyline and split with Lexington and Fort Osage.  In the first round of bracket play of the Holden Tournament the Blackhawks beat Oak Grove in three sets. Adrian defeated Booneville in the Semi-Finals to move on to a Championship Game matchup with the host team, the Holden Lady Eagles. Adrian swept away all the teams to win the title of Champion.

The Lady Blackhawks played some stiff competition on Thursday, August 24th when they traveled to Kansas City to take on Notre Dame De Sion.  It was a rough night for the ladies as they fell in straight sets, but because they played such a strong team, it helped them raise their level of play. The Adrian Blackhawk Varsity Volleyball Team showed great poise to come back and defeat the field.
