Adrian Chamber of Commerce has what is called “Chamber Bucks” that are sold at Adrian Bank, Citizens Bank, and Yoss Thriftway. Basically, this is a gift certificate to encourage commerce to stay within the community and is accepted at any business that accepts them.
As a business owner, you accept them just like a check, endorse the back and deposit them just like any other check. Only catch is you need to bank at Citizens Bank or Adrian Bank in order for them to honor the certificates.
If you bank in Adrian, then they encourage you to accept them! The Adrian Chamber will be putting together a list of businesses that will accompany the Adrian chamber bucks when purchased so recipients will know where they can spend them.
This does NOT have to be a brick and mortar business. Home based businesses can be on the list as well! If you would like to be placed on the list, please let me know as soon as possible so we can get you added! Contact Jennifer Cassaday for complete details or to be put on the Chamber Bucks list.
