Local authors will be speaking and signing their books at the Adrian Community library, 116 East Main, on Saturday, June 18th beginning at 10 am. Those sharing their books are Don Arndt with his new book “Frontier Village”, Diane Rogers with her many local history books, and Caroline Schallert aka Nicole Sorrell speaking on her books and the steps to becoming a young author. The community is invited to the Adrian Community Library for a morning of fun, Saturday, June 18th.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
