The Adrian Optimist Board and the Foundation Board have decided that due to recent health issues concerning the Coronavirus, that all Optimist Building events be suspended until March 29th. On that date they will again meet to re-evaluate the situation. This includes weekly Monday Night Bingo and the Spring Gun and Knife Show. The Adrian Optimist apologizes for any inconvenience but the health and welfare of their members and patrons are of utmost concern. The Spring Gun and Knife Show has been rescheduled to October 2nd-4th. FM-92 will update as information becomes available to us.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
