The Farm Market in Amsterdam is getting in the holiday spirit and they invite you to attend their Champagne Holiday Open House. If you do not know about this business on Main Street in Amsterdam, it houses a variety of Antiques, florals, gift items, Myra purses, weekend bags, men’s and women’s bath soaps and body lotions, ladies apparel, furniture, and home décor’. The business is owned and operated by Randy Weiss formerly of Butler, known for his unique decorating skills. The Farm Market is located across from the Amsterdam Café on Main Street in Amsterdam. Mark your calendar and bring a friend to the October 29th Champagne Holiday Open house at the Farm Market. The open house hours will be from 2 until 8 pm. They welcome all shoppers from the surrounding communities as Amsterdam kicks off the Holiday Season. |

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
