The Amsterdam Jubilee Committee is honored to announce the 2021 Amsterdam Jubilee Parade Grand Marshal Mrs. Kay Cummings.
Kay Englis Cummings was born and raised in LaCygne Kansas. Kay has 2 children, Lee of Amsterdam, and Sue of Parkville. Kay has 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Kay was Vacation Bible School director at the Amsterdam Baptist Church for many years. Kay was also Amsterdam City Clerk and Tax Collector.
Kay also worked in the Miami school cafeteria before retiring as head cook in 2005.
Kay was a wonderful seamstress, before retiring. Creating many beautiful outfits or doing alterations and sewn on numerous Letter jacket patches.
Kay also served as 4H sewing leader.
Kay enjoys making quilts and watching her great grandkids play sports.
The Amsterdam Jubilee Grand Marshal has been a proud member of the Amsterdam community for 61 years and Amsterdam is proud to have her.
