Sunday, April 15, the AIM club of Montrose and other friends and family will host a fund raiser for Maria Goth Fennewald, currently of Appleton City. Maria recently suffered from a severe stroke and continues to battle her daily recovery and the extensive therapy that is required. A dinner will be served at the Montrose Community Building from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The menu will be smoked chicken, pulled pork, smoked sausage, scalloped potatoes, Germantown cole slaw, baked beans and dessert. Adults can eat for $10, age 5 to 10 years will be $5 and under 5 years is free. There will be a live auction starting at 2:00 p.m., a silent auction, freewill donation bake sale and raffles for a generator, 50/50 drawing, 9mm pistol and Golden Boy 22 rifle, which are being pre-sold at MTA Auto daily and at Short Street on weekends. They have some very nice large items for the Live Auction: Metal Calf Feeder, Wooden Mineral Feeder, Camping Package, Hog with processing, Load of rock and hauling, Faye Fennewald Homemade Quilt, Gas Grill, Fire Pit. LED Portable Light, Gravity Lounger, Outdoor Swing, Reserved XMas Mass Pew Seating at Immaculate Conception and much more. Also on the Live Auction will be the “Wine Challenge” where local celebs have donated some of their finest homemade wines for this worthwhile cause. They will take items up until auction time. AIM members will be taking orders for “Team Maria” t-shirts and there will be some for sale the day of the event but early sales are preferred. A “Love Fund” account has been set up at the Montrose Saving Bank if you would like to just make a charitable donation.
