Appleton City’s 23rd Annual Christmas in the Country schedule
Businesses Open with Special Christmas in the Country Specials. (Businesses denoted with a * are locations available to pick up a complete schedule, and are participating in a Holiday Basket Drawing.) Holiday Baskets will be out to view and all completed forms must be turned in at the Depot by 3:00 p.m. to be eligible. You must visit at least three (3) participating locations and obtain a signature to be eligible for the basket drawings!
8 – 10 a.m.: Appleton City Junior Class/Prom All Nighter Biscuit and Gravy Breakfast in the High School Commons
Choice of half (1 biscuit $4) or full (2 biscuits $6) orders.
*8 a.m. – Noon: Appleton City Library Open House 105 W. 4th St.
Raffle tickets $1/each or 6/$5; 9 gift baskets available to win!

11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Cork and Keg (serving a hot beverage) from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) 401 N. Poplar St.
*9 a.m. – 3 p.m.: ACLR Depot Craft Show at the Depot & Durley Hotel 301 N. Walnut
Featuring: Julie and Tammy w/ handcrafted candies; Mrs. Miller with pies, candies, jellies and breads; Kenna’s American Girl doll creations; Tom Holt with his wooden creations; other crafters also with knitted items, scroll saw art, handcrafted jewelry!
9 a.m. – 2 p.m.: 3rd Annual Appleton City PTO Holiday Shopping Extravaganza Appleton City HS Gym

11 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Hudson Hustler’s 4-H Club – Baked Potato Bar in the School Cafeteria. $6/potato, dessert and drink. Pre-orders and deliveries
2 – 4 p.m.: Santa’s Workshop (Park Building in Forest Park) Sponsored by AC Park Board and Golden Apples. Santa will be ready to take pictures and have a goody bag ready for each child. FREE PICTURES, treats and hot cocoa provided. *Please note: you may take pictures on your own devices with Santa.
3 – 7:30 p.m. First Baptist Church’s presentation of the Live Nativity 303 5th St.
3:30 p.m.: Candy Cane Hunt with The Grinch – pictures available after the hunt at Forest Park
Children ages 0-12 will be separated into age divisions – Sponsored by Ellett Memorial Hospital
4 p.m.: Annual Appleton City Christmas Parade Lineup at Forest Park/Judging at 4:15 p.m.
4:20: – 4:50 p.m.: Christmas Parade (theme – ‘Everyone is Santa’) begin and end at Forest Park Main Street
4:50 p.m.: Lighting of the “Mayor’s Christmas Tree in Forest Park
5 – 7:30 p.m.: 1st Christian Church Soup, Chili, Ham & Bean, Hot Dogs & Dessert Supper/Holiday Music Come & Go (beginning at 5:45 p.m.)
