On Thursday morning October 31st at 5:40 am. A ten-car pileup on I-49 resulted in moderate to serious injuries to 4 of the persons involved in the accident.
The pile-up occurred near the Archie bridge on I-49. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash was the result of an unknown Tractor Trailer that lost control on the frozen bridge at Archie, striking a vehicle and causing it to spin out of control. A chain reaction resulted in the ten-car pileup.
