There are just a few days left to make donations to the Bates County Back to School Supply Drive. Children are registered and supplies are being purchased. The drive is still accepting basic school supplies. Your donations may be dropped off at The Carpenters Cup Christian Book Store in Butler. The deadline is August 5th. The supplies will be distributed on August 8th at the Adrian Optimist Building in Adrian. West Central Community Action Agency and The Carpenters Cup Book Store thanks everyone that donated to help this drive send children back to school with the necessary supplies. Thank You So Much !

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
