The Bates County Cattlemen and Cattlewomen will be grilling up that delicious beef during the Hucksters Day celebration. Saturday, October 3rd from 10 until the food is gone you can get a ribeye for $7, smoked beef for $6, hamburgers for $5 and the Cattlewomen will be serving Reuben sandwiches for $7, all meals come with chips and a water. Make sure you head to the Butler Square on October 3rd for Hucksters Day and stop by the Bates County Cattlemen and Cattlewomen trailer and get something great to eat. |

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
