The Bates County Cattlemen will serve lunch at Homestead Recycled Antique Store in Adrian on April 17th this is in conjunction with the open-air flea market going on that day. Cattlemen will be selling Ribeyes on a Hoagie Bun for $7.00, Smoke Beef sandwiches for $6.00 and Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers for $5.00 all meals come with chips and a drink. Serving will begin at approximately 10:30 until the food is gone. That’s the Bates County Cattlemen on location April 17th at Homestead Recycled Antique Open Air Flea Market in Adrian.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
