The Bates County Cattlemen will be cooking lunch on November 16th from the parking lot of the Butler Family Center Farm and Home. Ribeye Steak $7.00, Smoked Beef for $6.00, Hamburgers $4.00. All meals are complemented with chips and a drink. That’s the Bates County Cattlemen serving lunch from 10:00 am until the food is gone on Saturday, November 16th from the parking lot of the Butler Family Center Farm and Home.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
