The Bates County Cattlemen will be cooking at the Recycled Homestead Antique Store in Adrian on Saturday, September 26th. Cattlemen will be cooking between 10 am and 1 or the food runs out. On the grill will be Ribeye’s for 7 dollars, smoked Beef for 6 dollars and Hamburgers or Cheese Burgers for 5 dollars. All meals come with chips and a drink. That those famous Bates County Cattlemen’s dinners, for sale Saturday, September 26th at Recycled Homestead Antique Store in Adrian. Serving starts at 10 am until the food is gone.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
