May 17th at approximately 9 PM the Bates County Coroner was called to the Bates County Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. BCMH EMS had responded to a rural Amsterdam address earlier in the evening on a report of injuries to a person in a farming accident.
The decedent is identified as Phillip Armentrout, 71 of Amsterdam. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
