The Butler City Hall reminds you to vote on November 5th. Polls will be open at the Old Butler High School Gym on Pine street from 6 am until7 pm. Voting is for Butler residents only. Voters will be asked to pass or fail, a general sales tax, from the present 2.85% tax rate, to 3.85%. If passed, this would be an increase that would affect a general sales tax on anything purchased within the city limits of Butler. Remember to vote November 5th. Results will be posted on 92.1 facebook page “ KMAM KMOE”.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
