There are several changes to the 2021 Bates County Fair and the traditional events from years past. The
first change is the date of the Bash, this year it will be held on Wednesday evening July 7th. The Bash
starts at 5:00 pm, followed by the Bates County Farm Bureau Talent Show, then the Baby and Toddler
Contest. The parade has been moved to Saturday, July 10th at 5pm. As of now, there has been no theme
announced for the judging of the floats, but we do know the usual parade categories will be welcome,
such as animal drawn vehicles, floats, antique and classic automobiles, tractors and groups, and the three
and four wheelers as in years past. A complete updated schedule of events may be found on the KMAM
KMOE Facebook page, the Bates County Fair Facebook page, and the 921news website. More details will
be posted as they are released, but for now remember, the Bates County Fair Parade is set for Saturday,
July 10th at 5:00 pm.
