The public is invited to Tail-adega Nights Mouse races, Saturday, March 12th, 5:30-midnight in the Bates County Fair building. Tickets are $25 at the door and you get dinner, all you can drink beer and register for prizes. You must be 21 to enter. Listen and dance to Honky Tony Dreams after the races. Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
