The Bates County Health Center is working on plans for a COVID vaccine clinic for the 5-11-year-old age group as well as 12 and over that would like the Pfizer vaccine. They need to know how many people are interested so they can order the correct amount of vaccine. If you would like to receive Pfizer COVID vaccine for yourself or your child please call their office at 660-679-6108 and let the staff know you are interested in Pfizer and provide name, phone number & age of individual.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
