Bates County Memorial Hospital has received a donation for Bates County Memorial Hospital CARES program for $500 from the Butler High School FCCLA Club (Future Career & Community Leaders of America). Lillian Colburn, a senior at Butler High School and president of the FCCLA presented the check to Christi Pope, RT, R, M, Director of Imaging Services. The FCCLA club organized fundraising for their 2019 Go Pink event and selected Bates County Memorial Hospital Cares as one of the recipients. Bates County Memorial Hospital would like to send out a very special thanks to the donors, students, teachers and parents who contributed to the fight against breast cancer by helping women in their own community.
Bates County Memorial Hospital Cares is a fund that provides free screening mammograms for uninsured and under-insured women. Over the past few years, this fund has helped many women in Bates County and surrounding communities to receive screening as well as follow up imaging services when indicated.
